Each week will focus on an aspect of writing (such as basic paragraph construction) that will help develop basic writing skills with a view to writing short mid-term and final term essays. Classes are usually organized around group-work and students are expected to work together to discuss and solve tasks related to writing skills. Tasks will include learning how plan and construct topic sentences, understanding how to plan and brainstorm supporting sentences for paragraph construction, and an introduction to useful connecting words and phrases to make paragraphs more coherent. Students will be required to prepare short homework assignments to prepare for the following weeks’ classes. |
